Being a supplier of soft seating furniture, we are already taking the responsibility of high performance and long-lasting products. A sustainable world first of all requires high-quality long-lasting products. We are focusing on comfortable and timeless furnitures in the best possible way. As a sample very strong and long-term furniture frames are used for the bases and only the highest quality of foam is used.

In collaboration with our waste management consultant, we keep wastes originating from their activities under control, create the right legislation and organize the most responsible destiny for recycling.

sawdust boiler
Since we have our own wood workshop, the generation of wood dust is unavoidable. This offers new opportunities for sustainable heating technology. This wood dust is going to be converted to heat very soon.
pellet heating
At the moment we are heating our facility with wood pellet granules. Wood pellets used in pellet patio heaters are cost-efficient and environmentally friendly.

cardboard boxes
We have invested in its own cardboard boxing production to be able to use as less material as possible. In addition, the products are optimally packaged, which protects them as well as possible against transport damage and keeps transport space as minimal as possible.

Transportation is a sensitive subject in sustainability. The transport of imperfect items should be avoided at all times. That for we are highly focused on the finishing touch and last quality control.
Bringing perfect intact products into the world for a maximum period of time is a priority at Froa. An important part of this is the arriving at destination without damage. For this reason, Froa works with sturdy packaging material.
easy maintenance
Maintenance is the most efficient way to retain or restore equipment to its desired level of performance and keep it in use. With only a new cover over time (reupholster) the products can last a double lifetime. Moreover, we offer spare parts for the necessary moment to keep the products alive and extensive Maintenance & Care Instructions.
efficient transport
At Froa, an entire full-time position has been set aside for a staff member to calculate the most efficient packaging and transport. By sending the goods as efficiently as possible enormous costs and pollution is minimalized. Froa lowers environmental impact by offering sea transportation. For the moment approximate generalization can be made of the international delivery to customers; 1% air transport, 55% Road transport and 44% sea transportation.

Currently, Frao is saving 70% of its power usage due to the use of solar panels. These panels now are installed and fully used on 50% of the facility. The other half has been agreed to be covered with solar panels very soon. This movement will ensure a 100% sustainable energy supply. Enough for the entire production and even more, which is supplied to the environment.
electric switch
Froa has started to replace its fleet by electric cars. At the moment the company counts four cars already. The aim is to switch all passenger cars that qualify for replacement with electrically powered cars by 2025.

A circular transition makes a major contribution to a sustainable world. For successful changes within the company, good cooperation is necessary. Froa pays extensive attention to education for sustainability and circularity. Sustainable steps are being taken in strong teamwork.

A large part of Froa’s sales market is in Europe and America. As a result, Froa offers a perfect alternative to ‘the far west’ and can respond quickly. Purchasing in Turkey instead of the far west reduces the CO2 footprint significantly.

Froa has always invested in its own full production line at one location. This has two positive aspects. Firstly, this means that production is to be kept under control and high quality can therefore be guaranteed. Secondly, minimum additional transport for outsourcing work is needed, meaning a reduction in the use of fossil fuels.
food for good
In a sustainable society, we treat each other with respect. All fried foods from the menus will be removed as much as possible, thus reducing the monthly waste oil amount to 3 Kg. This rate is a great success for a factory with 130 employees. Instead of fried dishes, cooked dishes in the oven are served. Froa collects all small amounts of waste and delivers them to disposal companies that are experts in their fields.

The waste streams of the office and showroom are all separated. Employees are instructed and educated on the right use of the bins. This way Froa contributed a positive impact to its environment.
safety first
We have the related certification “ISO 14001” and receives consultancy from HEMA company for occupational safety. The company provides employees with personal protective equipment for preventing occupational diseases, work accidents, etc., gives advice to the employees and makes necessary checks weekly. Also necessary training is given to the employees.
pet-free water
The use of PET water throughout the factory will be terminated very soon and water dispensers, metal water bottles and refill taps will be implemented.
